| SO YOU WANT TO PLAY COLLEGE
SOCCER?
Billie Boles put the following helpful information together
one fall for the girls on the Lansing Varsity Soccer Team
and gave her permission to include it on our website. Whether
you are a girl or boy, if you are in high school and thinking
of trying out for the soccer team in college you can use Billie's
advice and forms as a good place to start planning now.Remember
to talk to all coaches and trainers for references (club,
school, etc.):
"Hello everyone,
I recently put together a packet of info for the girls that
I have
coached over the last 4-5 years that I thought might be interested
in
playing college athletics. I would like to pass along that
same info to
all of in case you may be able to use it or know someone who
can. "
"This is for any girls interested in playing college
athletics (soccer, basketball, track, etc.).
I tried to make this as pain free as possible so they can
just edit the documents without too much effort. A video
is not completely necessary so do not stress if you don't
have one! They should try to pull this packet together as
soon as
possible though because now is the time that coaches want
to look at them (and this spring on club teams).
Use the COLLEGE CHOICES worksheet to help you focus!"
Good luck with everything!
Billie"

to play college athletics
2. College Choices worksheet
3. Athletic Interest Letter

4. Player Profile (includes
examples of stats, honors, extracurricular activities that
make you stand out. Remember this is just an example,
you do not have to have everything listed and you do not have
to include every high school year if you do not have info
for it).
